DIY Display Rack

After searching high and low for a clothing rack that would work for my silk wearables, totes, and streamers, I finally decided to go online to get ideas for a DIY project.  A display rack was on the top of my must-have list for this holiday fair season yet it was the last thing I wanted to make.  Well, the stress flew out the window when I found this tutorial at Sally Ann.  With my newfound woodworking skills, it looked like something I could actually do myself!

Tommy brought the wood home and I made the appropriate cuts.  He decided to add a few special touches by rounding the tops and adding angles to the base pieces.  Holes were added at the top and a lot of sanding was done to make the wood super smooth.

Tommy added pins to the ends of the dowel to keep everything from blowing off the ends.  I'm confident that I could have done the original project by myself, although it may have been a little wobbly and certainly would not have had the extra fancy features.  I love it!
